Seeing as you're one of those who writes fiction and nonfiction, I'm curious - do you find, like I do, that it's easier to "choose" the details in a novel than it is in nonfiction? In a novel, it's so easy for me to kick stuff out (anything that doesn't contribute to the storyline). That's terrific news, and I can't wait to read it.<BR/><BR/>Selecting information for a book or article is always an interesting process--more like an art than a set of techniques, really. I always just ask myself "What would I most like to read about a subject?" That helps me focus pretty well. And I LOVE cutting down the rough draft.
